Job Description:Urology Surgeon Consultant
HCL International recruits an Urology Surgeon Consultant fulltime permanent post on behalf of a well known NHS Treatment Centre based in Manchester Area.
The NHS Treatment Centre is a brand new, state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in Urology. The Treatment Centre only treats NHS patients. It is run on behalf of the NHS by an independent company with an impressive track record in patient satisfaction, low infection rates and clinical success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities- Take ongoing responsibility for patients under his/her care.
- Participate in the development of the Urology service, treatment protocols and guidelines and the greater knowledge in the management of conditions.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with medical colleagues in other specialities and participate in regular clinical meetings.
- Take responsibility for the professional supervision and development of trainee doctors within the speciality.
- Develop and maintain good communications with General Practitioners and colleagues from acute hospitals.
- Demonstrate a firm involvement in clinical governance, risk management and clinical audit. This will include the development and maintenance of appropriate systems and practices to ensure continuous safe clinical practice.
- Share responsibility for data protection arising out of the use of computers.
- Participate in all aspects of clinical governance. The appointee is required to participate actively.
Requirements:- Full current GMC registration and appropriate specialist Register
- Evidence of experience and expertise in relevant clinical speciality
- Excellent communication skills and team working abilities
