Job Description:

With over 100 miles of sandy coastline set against a picturesque backdrop, a low rate of taxable income and an economy that is operating at maximum capacity Guernsey is located only 70 miles off the mainland and is a great location to live and work

The successful A&E nurse will require:
  • Full NMC registration
  • ALS essential
  • 2 years post registration experience in an A&E/MAU setting
  • Ability to Work autonomously as well as within a close knit team
  • Ability to Communicate effectively with both colleagues and patients
The successful A&E nurse will be expected to:
  • Be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of care for patients
  • Deliver care in accordance with current ward philosophy
  • Adhere to policies, procedures and guidelines contained within the Health and Social Services Policy Folders
  • Under the direction of the nurse in charge regularly act as ward coordinator
  • Take charge of the ward and supervise nursing staff on a regular basis
  • Act as a clinical supervisor and preceptor to develop skills of first and second level nurses, and nursing auxiliaries
A&E Nurses applying must be eligible for full NMC registration and have recent relevant experience.
