Job Description:Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon SUSSEX
HCL International recruits an Orthopaedics Consultant fulltime permanent post on behalf of a well known NHS Treatment Centre based in Sussex.
The NHS Treatment Centre is a brand new, state of the art facility and provides high quality specialist treatments in Orthopedics. The Treatment Centre only treats NHS patients. It is run on behalf of the NHS by an independent company with an impressive track record in patient satisfaction, low infection rates and clinical success.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:- Contribute to the efficient delivery of the contracted volumes and management of the service.
- Follow company policies, protocols and procedures.
- Follow NICE Guidelines and other evidence based material where applicable.
- Introduce innovation in orthopaedic clinical practice where it is evidence based.
- Contribute fully to local clinical governance arrangements and reduction of clinical risk.
- Take a full part in multidisciplinary clinical audit against national and local standards where they exist.
Requirements:- Entry on GMC Specialist Register for General Surgery/Orthopaedic Surgery
- Recognised period of work in a specialist department
- Experience in a range of shoulder procedures and primary joint replacement
- Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of problems in elective general surgery drawing on substantial experience in the speciality
- Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
- Committed to continuing education and professional development
- Honesty and reliability
- Ability to cope in stressful situations
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
