Job Description:HCL International has fantastic opportunities to appoint Clinical Fellow in Emergency Medicine to join a large NHS Trust located in Worcestershire.
The principal aim of this appointment is to improve patient care and expedite their progress through the Department. The successful candidate will be expected to manage whole patient episodes by himself/herself on a regular basis as defined by the Consultants. It is also expected that the experience of the Doctor will be such that he/she will assist the Consultant in providing on-site primary treatment for the severely ill and injured. You will be expected to support the inexperienced SHOs in the Emergency Department.
You will also perform duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances at the request of the appropriate consultant in consultation where practicable with their colleagues, both senior and junior.
The Emergency Department is currently working towards implementing a 24 hour full shift, 9 week rolling rota. Some of these posts are being established in order to achieve this. Until this occurs, the successful applicant will work on the present 24 hour full shift middle grade rota, including prospective cover for annual and study leave.
Requirements:- Minimum 2 years' full time postgraduate training
- Appropriate A&E experience
- Ability to take independent responsibility for medical care of patients
- Confidence in leading cardiac arrests and resuscitation of trauma cases
- ALS (by start of post)
- Eligible for full Registration with GMC at the time of appointment
